Review by Library Journal Review

The Bridgewaters, a husband and wife team who have written a number of excellent woodworking books geared toward beginners, offer a collection of 16 attractive outdoor projects that will appeal to most woodworkers. The projects, made with common materials, include a potting table, treehouse, rabbit hutch, wheeled bench, picket fence, Victorian toolshed, and planter. The projects are especially well designed, with attractive detailing (for example, the picnic table has ornate sawn detailing on the boards). Each project is finely illustrated with clear photographs and excellent directions. A short section on techniques includes information on tools, joinery, project installation, finishing, and maintenance (a subject neglected by many titles). This book is an outstanding choice for all public libraries. (c) Copyright 2010. Library Journals LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc. No redistribution permitted.
