Review by Library Journal Review

Directed by the award-winning Michael Apted (28 Up, 42 Up), Me & Isaac Newton is a fascinating documentary about seven scientists whose specialties range from the origins of new animal species and environmental pollution to language, cancer research, and robotics. Each scientist is introduced in a manner both captivating and easy to understand-even for the novice. The original and frank discussions of their journeys to discoveries that have changed their lives and our world are inspiring. Apted presents an engaging mix of men and women, exploring their early childhood experiences and their present-day scientific encounters, studies, and discoveries. Each of them has solved age-old mysteries in creative ways, and viewers will feel privileged to walk through their lives, their failures, and triumphs. For all but the youngest audiences, this film is awesome and thought-provoking; highly recommended.-LaRoi Lawton, Library & Learning Resources, Bronx Community Coll., CUNY (c) Copyright 2010.
