Review by Horn Book Review
A boy and his pet dragon continue to have bland adventures in these blandly re-illustrated editions of Hillert's old-fashioned books. The controlled vocabulary and one to five lines of text per page will boost reading confidence, but the texts sound artificial and the story lines are flat. Reading reinforcement activities extend instruction. There are six other fall 2016 titles in this series.
