Review by Booklist Review
The excitement of hunting white-tail deer emerges here. There are four distinct sections: natural history, hunting methodology, the hunt, and the hunter. Hundreds of related questions are answered, covering deer biology and behavior and the principles of deer management. There are more than 50 vivid photos in full color, plus numerous graphs and charts. The growing realization that in many areas responsible and carefully controlled hunting is an aid and not a detriment to the conservation of wild animals makes this a good addition; the book should help develop an appreciation of the role humans play in the white-tail's world and their place in ours. This is easily the most comprehensive and authoritative book about deer hunting available today. ~--Fred Egloff
