Review by Library Journal Review
This book summarizes the standard methods that model railroaders have developed over the years for creating scenic effects in miniature. One of the problems in model railroad publishing is that the great complexity of the hobby can lead to very scattered sources of information on methods and procedures. This publication does an excellent job of pulling information together and summarizing standard practices. It is thoughtfully organized, accurate, and full of practical advice. It consistently refers readers to standard specialized works for more detail. About 100 pages are devoted to extremely clear drawings, useful tables, and less helpful photographs. An excellent book for model railroaders or anyone creating miniatures of scenery and buildings. Recommended for general public library collections.-- Frederick A.
