Clarke's adorable second Hideaway Harbor romance (after Accidentally Perfect) follows Blink, Maine, local Cassidy James, who inherited her father's construction business and is now putting her passion for historic restoration to use by restoring the Victorian estate of her childhood crush, Tristan McGuffy. When Tristan returns to the tiny seaside town, Cassidy is hopeful they might finally have a shot at love--until her life is unexpectedly upended by an Instagram snafu. On the other side of the country, Hollywood superstar Jack Winston's assistant accidentally tagged Cassidy (instead of Jack's sister) in a post that makes it sound like she and Jack are together. The paparazzi descend on Blink in droves, prompting an apologetic visit from Jack and his entourage. Soon, Cassidy learns that Tristan, the man she thought was her prince, is actually a frog, and she and Jack begin to fall for each other instead (much to the dismay of Jack's manager). This unlikely pair is sure to win readers' hearts, and though the setup is far-fetched, Clarke makes it so much fun that readers won't mind. An appealing supporting cast--especially Cassidy's bubbly bestie, Amanda, and (surprisingly) Jack's cutthroat manager, Marion--underpin the enchanting narrative. Readers looking for kisses-only small-town romance will devour this enjoyable tale. (Feb.)
