Review by Publisher's Weekly Review

Opening the Raven Riders motorcycle club contemporary series, Kaye (Her Forbidden Hero) tells the sizzling and touching tale of a vulnerable young woman running from bad trouble and the biker who wants to save her. Haven Randall is the daughter of a career criminal who has basically kept her under house arrest since childhood. She's attempting to escape her past when Dare Kenyon-himself the survivor of a horrific upbringing-takes her and her friend Cora into the safety of the Ravens clubhouse. The honorable biker struggles to control his attraction to someone who's already been hurt and may have to move far away to survive. The powerful chemistry between sweet, barely experienced Haven and seen-it-all Dare is off the charts, and the strong cast of supporting characters fuels the fire. Kaye's deft plotting will keep readers guessing as they root for a successful, happy romance between Haven and Dare. (May) © Copyright PWxyz, LLC. All rights reserved.

Haven Randall ran away from her abusive father only to be held captive along with her best friend Cora Campbell by a now defunct outlaw motorcycle club (MC). After being rescued, the girls were delivered to the Raven Riders, an MC that among other things shelters abused women until new identities for them can be provided. For the time being, they are staying at the MC's clubhouse, and that's where Haven meets Raven president Dare Kenyon. Haven is not sure whom she can trust, but when Dare takes an interest in her, she finally lets her guard down, both emotionally and sexually. Dare is fiercely protective of Haven and, despite being 15 years her senior, quickly falls deep for the woman who lights his fire, even though he knows her stay is temporary. When a rival MC and Haven's father, who has offered an award for her capture, hunt her down, Haven might have to make the biggest sacrifice of all in order to save the new family she has found in the Raven Riders. Verdict Kaye's (Hard To Let Go) new series brews the perfect mix of sex, suspense, and empathetic characters and is a strong addition to the rising popularity of MCs in romance. Fans should also seek out the author's "Hard Ink" series, which overlaps with "Raven Riders."-Kara Kohn, Plainfield P.L, IL © Copyright 2016.
