Gr. 2^-5. The author of many popular craft books for children returns with a second Christmas craft book: 29 Christmas ornaments primary-grade children can make on their own or with just a little assistance from adults. Ranging from the very simple (a plastic lid covered in colored glue and sprinkled with sequins and glitter) to the more complex (a jack-in-the-box), the book has projects to satisfy a variety of skill levels. Most of the required materials will be easy to find, and the illustrations are cheerful and well labeled, making this a holiday craft book that is both practical and satisfying. --Susan Dove Lempke

Review by Horn Book Review

Clear directions introduce twenty-nine Christmas ornaments that are relatively easy to make. Scout leaders and Sunday school teachers will appreciate the fact that many of the projects use items easily found around the house. While the book is less attractive than craft books with glossy color photos, commendably, the illustrations here don't make the projects look professionally produced. (c) Copyright 2010.
