Review by Booklist Review

Nate is back, in his twelfth collection of comic strips. He's discovered Sudoku puzzles, he's arguing with his dad about the appropriateness of the comic book Femme Fatality, and he's still trying to win Jenny away from Artur. Older elementary- and younger middle-school readers are the perfect audience for this series. They'll love Nate's snappy comebacks and root for him, even when he is clueless. Peirce's art is cheerful but not too childlike, and he has created a nice stable of familiar characters. Pair the comic-strip collections with the Big Nate novels for guaranteed reading fun.--Wildsmith, Snow Copyright 2014 Booklist
