Review by Booklist Review

As the managing editor of the online Elite Daily, Dybec is able to keep his finger on the pulse of millennials' concerns while staying largely anonymous. This lets him unabashedly eavesdrop on fellow New Yorkers' conversations and obsessively explore Google's Analytics for timely topics. This collection of essays covers Dybec's life both off- and online. He freely shares stories of phobias (visiting a country without knowing its native language), job quests (writing copy for an underwear company), self-image (being rated by Uber drivers), family relationships (helping his mom navigate online), dating (including high-school breakups), dealing with celebrities (Mark Cuban and Homeless Joe), and apartment living (including a roommate and a resident mouse). Particularly touching is his account of volunteering (somewhat reluctantly) in an art class at a children's hospital. Dybec has a comfortable, likable voice and he isn't afraid to share his vulnerable side. At home with technology but still able to appreciate living offscreen, he's the perfect guide for millennials trying to navigate and balance their lives.--Smith, Candace Copyright 2017 Booklist
