It's rare to find a fun yet realistic contemporary western romance. Cutler brings Texas ambience and color to this delightful and sexy tale about attraction between a resort event planner and a fire chief. Remedy Lane is the only child of two Hollywood megastars who is recovering from a scandal as a new employee at the Briscoe Ranch. Micah is tired of butting heads with the resort over their elaborate weddings with dangerous staging. Yet arguing with Remedy is fun, and after a shared meal, the two end up in bed. Their jobs do complicate their relationship, however, and that conflict becomes worse when a celebrity friend wants Remedy to do her wedding, then to return to LA for more events. Remedy and Micha's romantic scenes offer more heat than the fires she accidentally sets. Cutler brings a lot of new adult appeal to her unique spin on the career-versus- relationship conflict, a popular theme for that audience. Fans of Carolyn Brown will also enjoy Cutler. Review by Publishers Weekly Reviews

Remedy Lane, the child of famous actors, was Hollywood royalty and a successful wedding planner until a scandal wrecked her career. She abandons Los Angeles for Dulcet, Tex., where being the special-events manager at luxury resort Briscoe Ranch Resort is her chance for redemption. But trouble keeps finding her, including an escaped elephant on a golf course, a runaway melon at a summer party, and a fire at the resort. Throw in sexy fire chief Micah Garrity, who makes it clear he has no use for a California princess, and sparks are inevitable. The attraction between the two is sizzling, but Remedy's willingness to look past Micah's chip on his shoulder about rich people is baffling. Micah can't get over her outsider status, even as his friends and town eccentrics warmly embrace Remedy and she grows into a strong woman. Micah's hero complex is tedious, and the eventual kick in the pants he receives for being a condescending jerk is extremely satisfying. Once he recognizes his imperfections, it gets easier to root for him and Remedy to get their happy ending. Agent: Jessica Alvarez, BookEnds. (Apr.) [Page ]. Copyright 2016 PWxyz LLC

Review by Publisher Summary 3

Welcome to Dulcet, Texas, home of the legendary Briscoe Ranch Resort, where one woman will discover that even love is bigger in the Lone Star State.

Celebrity wedding planner Remedy Lane is Hollywood royalty—until a scandal sends her packing to the wilds of Texas. She has a knack for leaving disaster in her wake, but she’s determined to reboot her career at Briscoe Ranch, a luxury resort known for extravagant weddings. Little does she know that weddings don’t happen at the resort without the approval of the town’s cowboy-swaggering, too-hot-for-his-own-good fire chief, Micah Garrity.

ONE HOT SUMMER
Micah knows trouble when he sees it, and all it takes is one glimpse of Remedy’s princess airs for him to know he’s met his match. Too bad he can’t stop thinking about her—even when she brings about one disaster after another at the resort. He and Remedy clash at every turn, but they can’t stop the sparks flying between them. They come from such different worlds—does love stand a chance or will this fire burn too hot for either of them to handle?
