Review by School Library Journal Review

PreS-Gr 2-Whyatt (aka Super Why) and his team of Super Friends star in this interactive program that invites viewers to go on an adventure. Incorporating reading and spelling and introducing a selection of related vocabulary words, this series calls for all "Super Readers" to use their "reading power" along with Super Why and his team in each episode. This DVD features the fairy tale characters Cinderella, Snow White, the Prince and the Pauper, and the Boy Who Cried Wolf. Viewers are asked to read along or help spell words that will lead to the discovery of the "Super Letters" needed to solve each mystery. Fun and engaging, the series is a great tool to motivate children to read and spell along with the characters. It also incorporates important messages, such as Snow White's lesson to "stop and think" or that it's important to be clever and use creative thinking to solve a problem. VERDICT Fans of the series will not want to miss this latest offering. Recommended for public library collections.-Amy Joslyn, Fairport Public Library, NY © Copyright 2015.
