Review by School Library Journal Review
Gr 3-6-Scores of kids will relate to the funny family dynamics of the Fox family. The book follows mischievous fifth-grader Jason and his older sister and brother as they navigate the trials and tribulations of school crushes, homework, friendships, and family life. The comics are grouped in small story arcs, with the occasional stand-alone strip. Considering that some of them are nearly 15 years old (pulled from 1997-'99), they hold up well. FoxTrot has always been one of the stronger comics, rarely falling into the monotony that often plagues other strips. The four-panel illustrations are rendered in black and white and have been successfully reformatted into a two-by-two-inch layout. This collection is a nice introduction to FoxTrot for new audiences. It will likely leave readers wanting more.-Travis Jonker, Wayland Union Schools, MI (c) Copyright 2012. Library Journals LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc.
