Review by Library Journal Review
The inspiration for knitwear designer Chia's (Twinkle's Big City Knits) second book is more country club than down-home country. There's nothing rustic about the 31 patterns--it's preppie all the way, knitted mostly from bulky yarns. Making garments knitted from bulky yarns look shapely is difficult, and it's a testament to Chia's skill as a designer that many of the pieces are form-fitting, even sexy. Garments of all types are included, including a number of knitted skirts that, while beautifully designed, would only be flattering on slim women. Fashionista knitters will consider this a must-see; the rest of us will likely appreciate the beauty and attention to detail and move on to more practical projects. Recommended for libraries where Chia's previous book was popular. (c) Copyright 2010. Library Journals LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc. No redistribution permitted.
