Ellen Buchanan interviews Dr. Alson Braley, who in his years as head of the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Iowa (1950-1967) performed Iowa's first corneal transplant, founded the Eye Bank, and helped make the UI Hospitals an international center for eye treatment and research.
