Review by Horn Book Review

McDermott's vivid, multicolored, almost three-dimensional illustrations enliven each page of this story about a raucous, day-loving parrot and the timid, quiet night creatures of the jungle. Clever Papagayo drives off the moon-eating monster and silences the complaints of the night animals as well. A good story for reading aloud. From HORN BOOK 1992, (c) Copyright 2010.
