Russell Maroon Shoatz

Russell Shoatz (August 23, 1943 – December 17, 2021), also known as Maroon, was an American political activist, writer, and convicted murderer who was a founding member of the Black Unity Council, as well as a member of the Black Panther Party, and a "soldier" in the Black Liberation Army. In 1973, he was convicted in connection with the 1970 murder of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania police officer Frank Von Colln. Provided by Wikipedia
