policeman
. He worked for the
Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia
from 2001 until his retirement in 2021. Fanone was present at the U.S. Capitol during the
January 2021 attack
, and testified with his colleagues in front of the
House Select Committee investigating the attack
in 2021.
