David Newland

David Newland (c. 1799December 19, 1857) was an American politician in North Carolina and Wisconsin. He was Speaker of the 3rd Legislative Assembly of the Wisconsin Territory. Earlier in his life he served as a member of the North Carolina Senate and House of Commons, and was involved in a disputed 1835 congressional election in North Carolina against James Graham.
